I like the whole scenario and the physics based rolling system. For my taste the camera was a bit fast and the game would have profited from a static cam.
Besides that just a little problem with the text going outside the screen on the how to play scene.
All in all a pretty solid game, plus I really like the detail that the girl runs to the house when you start the game.
Thanks for the feedback. Originally I used a static camera, but people complained about that. So I swapped from static to adventure camera default, but you could swap from adventure to static by pressing C. Then I got complaints about that too. Ugh. I think I'll add back in the swap option for static and ignore any feedback against it going forward.
Haha sounds like you enjoyed it. I'm designing new levels. Maybe I should read Alison in Wonderland for some inspiration. I wish people would message me some wild level concepts. I'd totally build them.
The physics based approach to roll the dice is interesting! It feels a bit weird at first, but i figured it out quickly. Also, the mice-sounds are not muted along the other sounds.
The dice will only move on one side then you have to go to a different side to move it again. Is that how it's supposed to act like that? And you can't outrun the rat.
The physics seem to work differently in different directions. Also, Having to press R to rotate the camera in a game with WASD controls seems unnecessary. Why not just have the mouse control the camera?
Thanks for the feedback. We are pushing an update where there are different color dice, Red, Blue, White, and each color has a different Mass so each of their physics will behave differently.

In the end you are the one who has to like your game. But making it changeable sounds like a good idea.

the rats certainly do exist
Very interesting take on platforming. I like yhe concept of having to roll and push the dice to open the doors. Great job!
Thank you! Awesome video.

Great game! But you could add more levels to it!
Now that GMTK game jam is over, expect more levels! : )
I'm also gonna work on my game!
Cool. I’m going to follow you so I get notified when you release an update : )

nice puzzle
Cool game more levels and enemies will make things interesting
That was such a clean run :O
Thanks I played it three times before recording

Thanks for the feedback. The 5th time you click "R" will put the camera into Adventure-Mode where it follows the mouse.
The physics are way too strong lol the cubes fly away when you push them on something :(
